~A Raid on the Arcana~

Nodding at Devien he smiles, "I'll be sure to keep my senses sharp... thanks again" he slips through the door devien pointed out to him, and follows the long corridor all the way to the end leading to another door. He opens it, and closes it quickly, and makes for the exit point.

Feeling back to full strength she stands up slowly,opening her senses fully.Quickly scanning levels of HQ,starting from where Mikiru was found she filters out unwanted information, concentrating on finding what doesn't fit.'No..no..ah..there you are,soon to be dead man.' Locating her target Akkei smiles slowly,laughing darkly. Flickering out in burst of her maximum speed she passes through hallways unseen,making a quick detour to grab her zanpakuto and few other things before heading for Destadi's location. 'Trying to leave are you..not going to happen..' There's a gust of wind and Akkei flickers into view a few feet in front of Destadi.Looking completely calm,the scary kind of calm you don't want to be around, she smiles slowly,a glimpse of small fangs seen,making her look much like a fairy tale demon in combination with her horns."Leaving so soon?You just got here,Destadi Rangari."

Destadi yeilds and takes a step back, smiling nervously. "heh... caught my trail did you?" he looks around carefully trying to find a way around Akkei. He decides to look all innocent. "why bother stopping me? is there any particular reason for gracing me with your presence?" he smiles charmingly as if he doesn't understand why Akkei would be after him.

Noticing him looking for a way out her smile grows."Don't bother.There is no other exit but for the one behind me.It is locked as well and it requires time to open it." At his taunting words she simply smiles,promises of pain unimaginable held in her eyes. A loud crack sounds in the hallway,spidery cracks appearing and running down the left wall.Though her reiatsu remains veiled the air grows heavy."A particular reason?Yes,you know it very well.There are three shards on your person. Thoth-sama frowns upon thieves.Furthermore..you killed Mikiru-kun." Voice dropping down she continues smiling,"I don't appreciate that.It is highly rude,to come into one's home and do such things,do you not agree?"

Looking a bit nervous, Destadi runs his tongue over his lips. "heh... so you're upset about your little guard dog?" he fidgets with his zanpakuto anticipating Akkei's next move. "sorry bout wolf-boy.... but this wasn't the first time he sank his teeth into something he wasn't supposed to." he smiles, but is very wary, and looks nervously at the walls, now beginning to spiderweb with cracks.

Deathly silence settles in the hall.Speaking after few minutes her low voice sounds strangely menacing,"He was not himself before and you fully know it.This time,this is our home and you're going a step too far." Appearing near him with a flicker Akkei leans close with a hand on his chest for balance,having to stand on tip toes to reach to whisper in his ear, warm breath ghosting over his skin,"He is not a guard dog..and I am not upset." Stepping back swiftly her leg comes up and turning on her heel Akkei spin kicks him back and into a wall with amazing force for someone so petite looking.Straitening there's a low sound of scrapping steel as she draws Sagishi,many long purple ribbons hanging from the end of the hilt swaying about on invisible wind.The blade's strange array of colors keeps shifting in mesmerizing patterns,glowing eerily.First signs of her reiatsu rising show.

Caught off guard by Akkei's kick, he slams into the wall hard, hearing a loud snap. He pushes himself away from the wall, and regenerates his broken shoulder bone. "ouch.... that... really hurt..." he rolls his right shoulder, and grins. "heh good as new... but... this isn't going to end well if I stay lie this." he pulls off the arm-wrappings and tosses them aside. "Let's hunt.. Kaisatora..." Destadi activates his resu. transforming into a undead Sabor-tooth tiger. he let's out a low growl and watches akkei like a hawk.

Observing his Resurreccion form she studies it intently,marking all the weak points in her mind.Lifting one hand, a dozen dark purple spheres of energy start forming around it."Wise choice.However,it wont save you." Flickering out she shunpos behind him,intoning emotionlessly,"Illusivien..Cero!" Growing to soccer ball size the spheres launch at him,tracking his movement.However,only three of them are real, the rest being illusions done in such way it is impossible to discern them from real thing.

Seeing the orbs appear, Destadi whips around and slashes out at Akkei with his claws. then jumps away trying to avoid the orbs. he lands by the exit door and fires a small storm of balla around the room.

Having moved already,his claws slice through the afterimage.One of the bala collides with real orb,exploding violently and shaking the room.Some of the bala come across other orbs but instead of exploding simply pass through,showing they are insubstantial.However the orbs keep moving in erratic pattern,making it difficult to remember which ones were passed through.With two real once left among the group,they close in on his location,tracking his spirit energy. Instead of dodging the bala Akkei simply stands still,raising a hand to catch one effortlessly whenever it threatens to hit her.

Destadi growls at Akkei in annoyance, "rrg... I just want to leave without any trouble... stand aside Akkei Sakkaku!" he focuses and creates a crystalline substance that wraps around his softer areas. He then shoots out his six tendrils, swiping two of them through the orbs, while sending the other four at Akkei.

Glowing eyes narrowing she smiles mockingly,shaking her head, "Tsk,Tsk.You should have thought of that before coming into enemy stronghold and causing a ruckus,Espada #10,Destadi Rangari.When you create trouble they will find you in return.The only way you are leaving now is by being carried out feet first." Two of his tendrils swiping at the remaining orbs,they pass through most of them,hitting two real once at the end of the clusters with a loud explosion as a result. Watching the other four tendrils coming at her Akkei raises her blade,sonido-ing around them and slashing out at each one quickly she avoids three,fourth one nicking her shoulder,purple runes gleaming on her arms from the tear in the fabric.Backflipping few feet away she touches a hand to the shallow cut,bringing bloodied fingers to her lips and licking it off."Hmhm..fast acting lethargic poison,is it?" Laughing darkly she raises her reiatsu higher, bright purple flaring around,burning most of the poison from her system.Smirking mockingly Akkei sneers,"Is that the best you can do,hmm?How disappointing.All roar and no bite." Raising her hand,dark purple energy gathers above her palm,"Cero." Firing it she immidiatly shunpos to the side, hitting the air and firing a row of bala before following up by shunpo-ing to the other side and releasing another Cero.

Destadi growls at Akkei then sonidos around the room avoiding the cero and balas and appears behind Akkei, raking her back with his claws, cutting in deep. he slams her to the ground then sonidos to the far wall, anchoring himself to it by digging his claws into the wall.

Standing up slowly,bored expression on her face,she dusts off her uniform,wound from his claws on her back regenerating swiftly.In a minute closing completely, only purple rune markings showing through the tears in fabric, along with old scars from what seem to be claws and a barbed instrument.Tilting her head Akkei makes a 'tsk' sound,"Pitiful." Flickering out in a burst of sonido she appears above him,hitting the wall a little above from where he's digging into it with a kick enchanted by her reiryoku.There's a crackling sound and a huge chunk of the wall where he's anchored breaks off,plunging down. Enchanting her blade's sharpness and strength by channeling reiatsu through it Akkei sonidos below him while the broken off chunk is still falling,slashing out diagonally across his chest.

The armor protecting Destadi's chest breaks in two as akkei's blade slashes through it. He retracts his claws from the falling section of the wall, and jumps away before hitting the ground. He glares at akkei, and regenerates his chest armor. "rrg..." he reinforces the crystalline shell surrounding he vulnerable spots, and prepares for akkei's next move.

Quenching her darker desires and rising bloodlust she forces herself to remain coldly collected,no mater how appealing seeing Destadi this moment in same pain he inflicted on Mikiru seems.'Calm and detached..no need to get excited and accidentally release.He is having trouble already.Let's enjoy this slowly..for every injury,triple return.' Sonido-ing around the room in a random pattern Akkei suddenly appears near him,charging blade with her reiatsu.Left arm rising high she starts to bring it down in an arc,aiming for his right shoulder.At the last moment she suddenly let's go of the blade,letting it drop down.Catching it with the right hand she does an upwards slash at his chest that goes from hip to shoulder.It being her signature move the technique is executed ceaselessly,in space beat of few seconds, and with ease,thanks to her ambidexterity.Whirling in a half circle she springs back on guard.

As Akkei slashes him, instead of slashing his shoulder, and his hip and chest. the Crystalline shell shatters instead sending small poison fragments everywhere. He jumps back grinning, "hee hee hee.... why're you holding back? from what I've heard about you... you're supposed to be much stronger than this!" he smirks, "No wonder you had a pet guard dog... you're weak!" He gets on all fours, and lunges forward with flame infused claws, raking them down Akkei's front and right side. he slams her to the ground the thows her into the wall farthes away from himself.

Searing pain erupting as deep wounds open along her chest and right side,edges burned,she doesn't utter a sound,face set into a stone mask gained back during her time in the labs.Being thrown at a wall she turns in the air,bouncing of it and landing on the ground with a flip. Ignoring bleeding wounds and puddles of red beginning to gather on the ground as if they are not there Akkei stares at Destadi expressionlessly.'What would you know or understand of my situation?Hmh,enough of this charade.' Narrowing her eyes she smiles slowly,gaze full of painful promises. "Wish to see my full strength,do you?Hmhm,well then,let's finish this." Lifting Sagishi her reiatsu begins to climb rapidly,purple ribbons hanging from the hilt lifting to wrap around her right hand.Holding the blade tightly she brings the tip to rest on her chest and over the heart for a moment,suddenly driving the blade down fully without hesitation while intoning,"Deceive,Sagishi!" There's explosion of purple reiatsu,a cloud of it concealing her.Continuing to rise at alarming rate,further cracks appearing in the walls,it suddenly condenses together and dispels with a whirlwind backlash. Standing in the middle of a small crater is Akkei,looking much different. Instead of usual petite form she now looks like her previous,adult self.Long purple hair floats on invisible breeze,reaching to her ankles while her horns have become more ornamental looking.Her k9 have elongated,creating a more devilish look while the top part of glyphs on her cheeks extended along underneath the whole eye,with new marking appeared in the form of line running along top and bottom eyelid.Along her exposed shoulders and back runs purple rune script while small bat like wings peek from behind her back.There's no sign of the wounds.Opening her eyes slowly they are now deeper purple and cat like,with white part of the eye having become black.Purple reiatsu crackles about her with feeling of much suffocating power just restrained back hanging around her.Holding out a clawed hand Akkei summons a long blade made of some strange clear metal that seems like clear glass with glowing purple glyphs carved into it.Inside,a many colored mist swirls,making whole blade glow with eery light.The guard is shaped like raven's wings with a wholly purple hilt,long ribbons hanging from it. Smiling slowly she points the blade at Destadi,"Come then,Destadi Rangari."

Destadi holds his ground when the whirlwind backlash of reiatsu blows through the room. Upon seeing akkei's change in appearance, he has a feeling of regret for agitating her to this point, He takes a step back ,lashing his tail back and forth nervously. "rrr..... perhaps... I'm bitten off more than I can chew this time..." He studies Akkei with a intrigued look, but keeps his distance from her... not wishing for any unpleasant surprises.

Noticing the nervous lashing of his tail and how he keeps back she smiles slowly, eyes glinting predatory,old power settling about her like a cloak,"Whatever's the matter?You wished to see my power,no?It's far too late to be backing out now,Destadi.Where are your usual taunts?" Lifting her blade she runs a hand along the edge,smooth red line appearing and immediately healing,"Hmhm..his wounds were done with a serrated weapon I believe," there's a rush of purple energy and her swords edge changes from smooth to serrated,"Much better." Holding out her other hand a second,identical blade wavers into being in front of it,quickly changing from insubstantial to real.Not truly wishing to reveal the extent of her powers just yet she decides on something small and swordwork.'First,return the favor.Then get eve.' Eyes focusing on a spot behind Destadi a dark vine erupts from the ground,form immediately becoming substantial and wrapping around his legs to temporarily prevent movement.Smiling darkly Akkei suddenly appears right in front of him,afterimage fading from her previous location.Swords moving in a blurred flurry of swipes she counts them carefully,after 90th twirling both swords and stabbing one at his lower stomach and the other below the ribcage, mimicking wounds he inflicted on Mikiru perfectly.

Unable to move Destadi is unable to dodge any of the strikes. The armor he was using to protect his vulnerable spots shatters easily, and coughs when the blades cut through his flesh. after enduring all 90 of the sword jabs, including the ones mimicking the ones he inflicted on mikiru, he slumps on the ground in horrible pain. his resu form deactivates,returning him to his usual form. his regenerative powers heal his wounds, and he manages to pull free from the vines ensnaring his legs. He jumps away from Akkei and lands close to the exit door. he looks over at Akkei, "heh.. heh heh...heh.... not bad akkei....not bad at all."

Blood dripping from both blades she turns to look at him,eyes ablaze with vicious fire." I am just getting started.That was for hurting Mikiru-kun and calling him a guard dog.To even the score.Now,"a dark smile settles on her face,"Now we can get to settling it." Reiatsu rising two forms begin forming behind her,vague shapes of something large and with many teeth.There's a sudden sharp spike in her reiatsu and her eyes widen in surprise.'Merde...not now..' Rising rapidly her spirit energy keeps climbing up despite her attempts to pull it back,condensing around her in smoke like wifs.Eyes dilating and becoming empty Akkei drops to her knees,blades clattering to the ground from her slack hands.The shapes that were forming waver and disappear.Long ago healed wounds suddenly open all along her body but she doesn't move,as if mind vacated somewhere else,red pools quickly gathering on the ground.Her reiatsu keeps swirling in uncontrollable torrent around her,making approach a risky proposition.The whole hallway starts to shake and crackle under the strain of spirit energy unleashed.

seeing akkei kneel to the ground, and her reiatsu climb dangerously high. Destadi takes his chance to escape. He kicks the door in and bolts, fleeing from the arcana base and far off into the distance of the hueco mundo desert.

~Medical ward~Kurai~
Having come to see what happened to Mikiru and suddenly feeling Akkei's spirit energy erupt into a storm spiraling out of control Kurai swears softly in some strange ancient language,disappearing inside a shadow on the wall.Transported immediately to her location he swears again,"Not good.How did it get this bad?" Circling around trying to think of what to do he jumps when a piece of the wall collapses.Face setting into grim line he struggles to her through the whirlwind of uncontrollable energy,drawing a strange silver bangle from his coat and clicking it around her arm.It glows,rapidly becoming black and immediately her spirit energy gets sucked in.Eyes closing and crying out painfully Akkei collapses, reverting back to her sealed state.Her new wounds bleed profusely,refusing to heal."Kei-chan,hold on." Picking up her carefully Kurai steps back into a shadow,reappearing in medical wing. "I need a doctor here!"

~A week later,medical ward,ICU section~ Yasei~
Looking around nervously for any of medical personnel Yasei slips through a door and into Mikiru's room,having sneaked in without permission.Closing the door quietly he comes to sit at Mikiru's bedside,silently listening to heart monitor beeping regularly and staring at different machines keeping him stable, for a while."..you keep sleeping Mikiru..you need to wake up...it's been a week now..you scared the hell out of us.." Stopping to clear his throat Yasei fidgets uncomfortably before speaking again,"..Akkei-san is out too..she stormed off really angry after..o-o-operating.. on..y-you..and then Kurai brought her back unconscious and injured..it's the damn old problem...many years got lost..and her wounds take long healing...but looks like she gave that bastard a beating......um....she was really worried about you..we...uh...we..all..are..." Trailing off into silence Yasei watches Mikiru with a sad expression."..hey..I'm sorry I didn't get there in time to help you..and..get better..cause everyone's worried and..this place is too dark without you around..so quit being all lazy and get up..Mikiru-sensei..."

sensing Yasei's presence in the room and then right next to him, he listens to yasei's words. about everyone being worried about, and him being out for an entire week. He twitches, and slowly blinks awake. He stares at the ceiling for a long time before slowly turning his head in yasei's direction. He stares at yasei with a blank look, still semi-drugged out with morphine and other medicines. he smiles slightly and only manages to speak in low quiet tones, '.........heh.... to dark... without me... here?' he pauses and stares at yasei for a long while with a tired look, '.... nhg... yasei.... your timing... couldn't have been better.... and you did help..... in a big way.' he pauses and turn his head to look up at the ceiling, still looking somewhat dazed. '.... It's thanks to you yasei..... that I'm even recovering........' he looks back over at yasei and smiles slightly, '.......don't worry....... as soon as..... this one......is well enough........ we'll get back..... to our usual.... sparing routine......' mikiru closes his eyes, and drifts back to into a deep slumber.
